Twin Travels: Puerto Rico

I recently went on a surf trip to Puerto Rico for 7 sun drenched days. It was pure bliss. We stayed on the North West side of the island in a town called Rincon. It was the most picturesque place I have ever been to.

5 activities I would recommend doing:

1. Snorkel anytime and anywhere. The fish are beautiful and the water is crystal clear at every beach. Our favorite spot was Steps.
2. Hike to the Window Cave. Gorgeous view and awesome to see the inside of the cave.
3. Swim in the Bio Bay. This was a bucket list item that I will never forget! We found a local 21 year old fisherman named Gabby who took us out to the bio bay on a rickety boat he had made himself. Special bacteria in the bio bay react with movement at night and cause a glowing sensation. So the water literally sparkles! (warning: it is kind of scary to jump into open water at night)
4. Buy the avocados on the side of the road. They are 10 times the size they are in the U.S. and delicious.
5. Surf in Isabela or Dome beach. Both have great waves and awesome people watching. I watched the International Boogie Boarding competition in Isabela while we were there.

Adorable house on the water near the bio bay.
Morning dip in the gorgeous pool at our place.

Puerto Rico, I will be back soon! XOXO
