Twin Tested: Guide to the Perfect Blowout

Everyone knows doing your hair when it is 100 degrees can get really tedious. There is a new place in Foothill Village called the H2blow dry bar where they do it for you! We had been to a dry bar in LA and loved the experience so we decided to test this one out.
The decor is to die for and we love adorable Courtney!
Blow dryers hanging from the ceiling? Count us in!
Perfect for a GNO or big night out!

Step-by-Step Guide to the Perfect Blowout:
1. To start things off on the right foot make sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner. We have recommended Suave Keratin in the past. It is incredibly affordable and makes your hair feel great.

2. Next apply Root Boosting Spray and Heat Protectant. H2Blow loves the Unite products, but if you already have a tried and true favorite stick to that.

3. Flat brush your roots with a paddle brush until they are 90% dry. Pro-tip: Dry hair with hair going opposite of your regular part.

4. Next bring in a round brush and focus on pulling 1 inch pieces up and then curling the ends.

5. Lightly spritz a comb with hairspray and then softly comb down any flyaways. By doing this hair is not weighed down by hairspray.

6. Enjoy your perfect blowout! (Practice makes perfect)

7. Apply dry shampoo the day after to keep your blowout looking fresh. Here are some of our faves.

  9. I need a blow out before I blow up! This looks amazing. I think all summer I have only dried my hair a few times between the kids out of school and all the pool time, mommy usually has her hair all tied up.

  10. I think my overworked daughter would love to go and be pampered a little. She is the mother of 2 with a husband who is going to school and she is the bread winner at the moment. Would love to give this to her as a gift!!!

  11. I would like to enter my daughter, Katie Whicker, into your blowout contest. She has just gotten prosthetic ears, (born without ears). She is starting (1/2 day) Paul Mitchell cosmetology for her senior year at Dixie High School. This would be a great start to have her see you at work with your techniques blowing dry her hair. Her goal is to serve others and help them feel great about themselves. She's been through lots of surgeries and this year has been the BEST because she has always wanted ears, (especially to wear earrings), plus beginning cosmetology. Your blow out would be the icing on the cake!
