Twin Tested: The Latest Fitness Trends

Utah Half Marathon with one of our favorite work out buddies Caitlin.
(Yes I am eating a Creamy - moderation in all things, right?)
We love to stay active and some new products have made it a lot easier.
It is always good to change things up and keep things interesting when it comes to staying fit.
We have heard a lot about the Fit Bit and decided to give it a try.
They come in a rainbow of colors and are SO tiny and cute!
Most women wear the Fit Bit on their waistband or bra strap.
At first I thought it was just a glorified pedometer but it is accurate and encourages you to meet daily goals.
You can buy one at Target or REI .
The little device syncs up to your I-Phone or computer through an app and makes it really easy to see your progress in calories and steps throughout the day.

Pedal Panties
(yes, that is the real name)
These booty shorts have extra padding in the crotch to make cycling more enjoyable.
If you've ever sat through a 60 minute spin class, you know a little cushion would be nice!
You can wear them with or without pants over top.
You can order pedal panties online at www.pedalpanties.com
They are $35/pair and come in several different colors.

KT Tape
(The tape comes in blue, pink, and black and is pre -cut for you.)
We had heard that it can really help heal minor injuries while working out.
I have had sore knees lately so I tried it on those and I did feel like I had better overall pain free movement.
You can buy KT Tape at Athleta for $20.

Nike Free Running Shoes
I love trends, but when it comes to my running shoes I always choose comfort over fashion.
Luckily, with the Nike Free shoes, fashion and fit came together to create the prettiest shoe!
The best part about these shoes is how light they are.
If you do not want to pay $65-$125 for Nike Frees, here are a couple of cheaper options.
Here and here

I bought a similar top like this for $16.99 at TJ Maxx - on the MPG website it is listed for $53.00!
Our favorite fitness secret is the store where we get all of our workout gear... TJ MAXX!
I know that may seem odd to some of you, but you can save some serious cash.
All the items hold up really well and do not show the regular wear and tear.
We know it gives us extra motivation to get moving and out the door when there is a cute new outfit to wear.
A similar top was priced on the MPG site for $51.00.
