Twin Tested: Biore Pore Strips

We grew up watching commercials about these pore cleansing strips thinking, Wow those look cool!
So, we decided now that we are in our 20's it is time to try it.
First, you wash your nose and then leave it wet to stick the strip on.
You leave it on for 10 minutes and then riiiiip!
 My results were not great. It felt like there was basically a thin layer of skin on the strip and not much else. It does sting a little bit when you take it off.
My skin did feel tightened and refreshed, though, so there's that...
But I feel like you would probably get the same results after exfoliating.
{sorry for the graphic after the rip strip pic, but I had to}

Alternative: DIY Pore Cleansing Strips
Brooke found an at-home Pinterest version for nose strips and decided to give them a try.
You need:

Plain Gelatin: I bought my box at the grocery store for $2.50. You just need about 1/2 cup of powder.

4 TBS of milk: Just make sure the mixture is not too runny.

Put mixture in the microwave for 10 seconds and spread onto your face. Let dry for about 5 minutes and then peel off. Overall, my skin did feel tighter after using the gelatin mixture... but I'm not sure how well it actually cleaned out my pores.

Watch Brooke get a Biore strip ripped off her face by Casey live this morning HERE Ouch!
