Sugar

It is shower season, and by that I mean lots of babies and weddings are on the way!
For Britt's first bridal shower some friends and I decided to go with a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme ("Breakfast with Brittany"). Because we are girls and love everything feminine we decided to take advantage of the situation and add as many cute details as possible. We used everything from adorable handmade banners, to an antique Tiffany's vase filled with beautiful hydrangea's.
Instead of your average plain goblet glass I decided to add some extra sparkle.
After looking around my house I came up with an easy solution!

Supplies:
Goblets: I borrowed the crystal goblets from my gracious mother :)
Pomegranate Honey: This honey has a nice pink hue that matches the sugar and just happened to be in my cupboard. The honey keeps things put for hours, I encrusted the glasses 24 hours before the party.
Sugar: Fill a bowl with about 3/4 cup sugar mix in whatever food coloring you would like.

Method:
Trace honey around the edge of the goblets, wipe off excess if you mess up. Then roll rim of glass around in the sugar.
Voila!

Swimsuit Finds

We found the perfect summer swimsuits!!!
This was not an easy task because we are ridiculously picky about our swimwear.
Britt found her suit in Albion at City Creek. We have mentioned Albion before, they have some really cute options and you can even design your own suit! If some of the their styles look familiar it's probably because they make swimsuits for Shabby Apple, which we all love.
Brittany's suit is $118 and was so kindly given to her by the owner as a wedding gift :)

I found mine on the European shopping site ASOS. Believe me I could not believe it when a swimsuit I ordered online ended up fitting me perfectly!
It was a steal at $65 - plus free shipping!

Britt and I are both loving the sash look this year!
Good luck with your swimwear shopping. Let us know if you have any secret spots you love to shop at!

Surprise Bachelorette Party

Our darling friend Jenna is getting married this Saturday, so we decided to throw an impromptu Bachelorette party for her at 7am on KUTV 2News This Morning. We brought in a chair dancing teacher along with Blue Boutique. Needless to say, it was hilarious and everyone had a ton of fun!
Thanks for being a good sport Jenna!

Men's Fashion

We enlisted the help of our friend Jason Yeats from local suit shop Beckett & Robb for today's segment
He gave pointers on how men can pair a suit jacket with jeans.
Here is the flow chart Jason made:

Stuffed

Last week, me and Melanie (I've known her since kindergarten!) went up to Log Haven to try out their spring menu... it was delicious to say the least.

We Must be TWINS

Britt and I showed up to work today wearing the exact same outfit - just in different colors!
H & M blazer
Loft tanktop
F21 jeans
Nordstrom wedges
Ridiculous to say the least! We have done this before but never a complete outfit.
Great minds must think alike :)

Item of the Week: Hair Elixir

You guys I have never smelled anything so good in my life! This stuff is better than any perfume or lotion I have ever used. I stumbled upon this product thanks to Birchbox which is a monthly box of samples and goodies sent to your house for $10 a month. Do yourself a favor and sign up! I have discovered a lot of great products this way. The Orofluido Hair Elixir has been my favorite so far. It is amazing and makes your hair noticeably softer with a nice shine. I love that the Elixir isn't sweet and fruity like most female hair products, instead it has a musky, amber scent. I have been apprehensive to try hair oils before this but I am now converted. I use it a couple times a week and it really has boosted the texture of my hair.
